We talk to Craig - Welder/Fabricator at Farmgear Ltd about his experience with the TECMEN TM1000 + FreFlow Respirator, and why he'd recommend it...

What were you using before the TECMEN TM1000?

I was just using an old SpeedglasTM helmet, but I've got two others of my own. I would have really appreciated this in my old job too.

What do you like about the TM1000 + Respirator?

Now that I've had it, I really appreciate the clean air. You don't realise how much muck you're breathing in until you clean your filters out. I notice at the end of the day my nose isn't all marked. So I appreciate having the clean air.

Do you grind with it?

Yeah! That's the other thing, being able to see so wide is really good.

What would you say to other engineers looking at buying a Tecmen ?

It's honestly a really good helmet. If you'd have asked me 5 years ago with my other helmet, if I'd be prepared to spend this much on a helmet, I would have said no, because I'm tight. But now I can see the value in it, I would spend the bucks.

It's a good helmet, I'm happy with it, I'd recommend it. It does what it says it does.
