Dunlea Products Ltd, Kaikoura  – Success Story

Grant’s out exploring beautiful Kaikōura in the South Island and, more importantly, catching up with Dunlea Products Ltd, to see how ordering through Euromarc is making their work easier.

Tell us about Dunlea Products Ltd…

 

‘Dunlea Products has been around since 1985. It was originally started by my mother and father, and we are a general engineering business: hydraulics, aluminium fabrication, STIHL and Husqvarna agents, and manufacturing of Mudgway boat trailers and general car trailers.

 

We have 21 staff here, and they are all employed for different roles. Then we also have a couple of truck drivers. We have our own trucks to cart our freight and trailers to the galvanizers. There's always something different being built here all the time.’

HOW DO YOU FIND ORDERING THROUGH EUROMARC?

 

‘Ordering from Euromarc’s website is really simple. The descriptions are great and accurate. The pictorials match what it is that I actually want. That way, I get delivered the items I actually need.’

TELL US ABOUT THE PRODUCTS YOU USE…

 

Shane: ‘We use the Bora 9 sanding disc for cleaning our trailer fabrication parts so they're nice and clean to go to the galvanizers.’

 

Chris: ‘It's got to be fast. We want to be able to clean a whole boat trailer down in a couple of minutes. The Bora 9 does that. It's good.

 

Shane: ‘We also use Euromarc safety glasses for all the staff.’

 

Chris: ‘I've accidentally dropped them on the ground and stood on them, picked them up, and gone, "Oh well, they’re good as gold." They come back to shape. A lot of the cheaper glasses will just shatter, but not those CRAFTSMAN. Very, very good.’

And the rigger gloves are great. They are cut-resistant, they're comfortable, and they keep people safe. We've got guys who just won't work without their rigger gloves on.’

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO OTHER ENGINEERS ABOUT EUROMARC?

 

Chris: ‘The service is really good, and we know what's coming.’
