We talked with Amanda – Procurement Manager, on how Active VMA Engineering Solutions order, and why it is now so easy to order with Quick Order.

Tell us a bit about Active VMA Engineering Solutions….

Active VMA Engineering Solutions Limited has a manufacturing engineering workshop in Rotorua, servicing the road transport and heavy machinery industry. They target the roading infrastructure services, open spaces management and utility sectors while the main focus for the heavy machinery is around guarding and modifications to excavators to meet the forest industry safety regulations and operator requirements.

How were you placing your orders before you started using Quick Order?

I was emailing to Euromarc, but before that our storeman used to go down and pick the order up himself from down the road at the store. He also used to like to do more frequent orders, about 5 to 10 orders per month. He wasn’t buying in bulk or anything like I do now, with one order a month because of the online store with Euromarc.

What was it about Euromarc’s online store that made you change?

It's given back time that was getting spent managing stock and ordering, and it's also sped up production with our regular consumables always being available for the guys to grab when they need them.

How do you find the functions of the Quick Order, opposed to just standard online ordering?

Actually it would be probably one of the quickest ones that I’ve used,. The speed of using the Quick Order is great, and the loading is as fast as I would expect it to be.

How have you found the online store as far as streamlining your purchasing?How have you found it has helped you?

Yeah its 100% helped me really, like with the quick order, I’m ordering the right stuff every time, because it’s all there. Everything is there on one page, like the pictures, prices, and info. The thing is you’ve actually got the pictures on the website as well.

Is there any way of you'd consider changing back to your old way of purchasing?

With monthly reporting, and consistent stock availability, our consumable costs are much more efficient.  We are not dealing with fluctuations in price depending on how much we order, or paying for additional shipping if we need to place an additional order for something that's run out.  Everything is just a lot cleaner and more efficient.
